To my valued patients,
As of the first week of June 2025, I will be retiring from Blasek Family Dentistry. It has been a dream come true to practice dentistry for the past 40 years, with 27 of those years spent alongside Dr. Michael
We met in dental school, and I have been proud to call him a friend for over 45 years. When he called to see if I wanted to leave my practice in the city to join him in Maple Glen, I don’t recall the decision being very hard. Over the years he has made it possible for me to treat this practice as my own. While staff have come and gone, I feel our relationship has remained solid based on our friendship from way back when. Working in a group practice makes it easier to deal with some of the challenges that dentistry presents.
I will most definitely miss the staff, and I am sure they will miss all the knowledge and guidance I have bestowed regarding all thing’s computer and high-tech matters (disclosures…I have been the definition of “low-tech”. In fact, they and my daughters have dragged me through all this tech stuff).
Marlene, my assistant, is the best I’ve had the opportunity to work with. I got used to her putting away instruments and supplies, many times before I even had a chance to use them…very efficient. She makes my patients feel at ease, when many would never feel comfortable “in the chair”.
Jill and I plan to travel and spend more quality time together, provided she can stand me. If you see me as a greeter at Walmart in the future, just know, she had enough. Don’t ask questions, just say hello. Haha.
You will continue to be in the fine care of Dr. Michael and Dr. Andrew. It was great news when I heard Dr. Andrew had decided to enter the family business. I consider it a privilege to have treated you, and I hope I was able to provide the good care you deserve.
